Acacia honey is not only one of the most known and popular honey varieties in Slovenia but also worldwide. Its colour depends on the location where bees gathered pollen, so it varies from pale through golden yellow and light amber. Acacia honey is sweeter than other honey types because of high concentration of fructose. It has a mildly fruity to flowery aroma with a hint of sweet vanilla. This honey makes a perfect choice for everybody who prefers liquid honey since its crystallization is very slow. Usually you will run short of it more quickly. Of all honey varieties, acacia honey has the lowest presence of pollen and is therefore ideal for children.
